General

How quickly can you get here in an emergency?

We aim to have an Eagle plumber at your door within 60 minutes for emergencies across all our service areas — Sydney, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and the South Coast. We give you an honest ETA every time — we never over-promise.

What discounts do you offer?

We offer 15% off for Pensioners and Seniors Card holders — just show your card when our plumber arrives and it's applied to your total, no conditions. We also offer 15% off for first-time customers — just mention it when you call to book. Both discounts apply to all services.

What are water filtration systems and do I need one?

A whole-house filtration system filters all the water entering your home before it reaches any tap, shower, or appliance. It removes chlorine, heavy metals, sediment, and other contaminants. Sydney water is safe but chlorine and trace metals affect taste and can be harsh on appliances over time. We'll assess your home and recommend the right system for your needs and budget.

Are your plumbers licensed and insured?

We are fully licensed and insured. We carry $20 million public liability insurance on every job. Our details: NSW Licence 464647C, ABN 50 696 628 896.

Do you provide upfront pricing?

Always. We inspect, diagnose, and provide a fixed written quote before any work starts. You approve it, then we begin. No hidden costs, no surprise invoices.

Do you service the Blue Mountains and South Coast?

Yes — we cover from the Northern Beaches all the way to Wollongong and the South Coast, and west through to the Blue Mountains. If you're unsure, call us and we'll confirm on the spot.

Blocked Drains

What are the warning signs of a blocked drain?

Common signs include water draining slowly, gurgling sounds from sinks or toilets, unpleasant smells, or water backing up. These can be caused by anything from a build-up to tree roots or a collapsed pipe, so it's best to have a licensed plumber inspect it properly. Call Eagle Plumbing 24/7 and we'll find the cause.

Are supermarket drain cleaners a good idea?

We'd recommend caution. Off-the-shelf drain cleaners can damage your pipes and rarely fix the underlying cause. The safest approach is to have a licensed plumber assess and clear the blockage correctly — give us a call any time.

Can a blocked drain cause damage if I leave it?

Yes. Left untreated, a blockage can lead to overflows, water damage and even pipe failure. If you suspect a blocked drain, it's worth having a licensed plumber look at it sooner rather than later.

Do you handle blocked sewer and stormwater drains?

Yes. Our licensed plumbers deal with blocked drains of all kinds across Greater Sydney, day and night. Call us and we'll come out and investigate.

Burst & Leaking Pipes

What should I do if a pipe bursts?

A burst pipe is a genuine emergency — call a licensed plumber straight away, day or night. If you can safely reach your water mains, turning it off can help limit the damage while you wait for us to arrive.

What causes pipes to burst or leak?

Pipes can fail due to age, corrosion, high water pressure, ground movement or tree root intrusion. The only way to know for certain is to have a licensed plumber inspect it. We're available 24/7 to find and assess the problem.

How can I tell if there's a hidden leak behind a wall or underground?

Tell-tale signs include damp patches, peeling paint, mould, an unexplained rise in your water bill, or the sound of running water when all the taps are off. Our licensed plumbers use specialised leak detection equipment to pinpoint hidden leaks without unnecessary damage.

Is a small leak really worth calling about?

Yes. Even a slow leak can cause structural and water damage over time, and it often points to a bigger issue. It's always safer to have a licensed plumber check it — call Eagle Plumbing 24/7.

Hot Water Systems

Why has my hot water stopped working or gone cold?

There are several possible causes, and some involve gas or electricity, so a hot water fault should always be checked by a licensed plumber or gas fitter. Call Eagle Plumbing 24/7 and we'll diagnose it safely.

How long should a hot water system last?

Most systems last around 8 to 12 years depending on the type and how well they're maintained. If yours is ageing or struggling, a licensed plumber can assess whether it needs repair or replacement.

Is a leaking hot water system dangerous?

It can be. Hot water units combine water with electricity or gas, so leaks shouldn't be handled yourself. Keep clear, avoid switching anything on or off, and call a licensed plumber to inspect it.

Do you repair and replace all types of hot water systems?

Yes — gas, electric, solar and heat pump systems. Our licensed plumbers will assess your system and recommend the right option for your home. Call us any time.

Gas Fitting & Leaks

I can smell gas — what should I do?

Treat it as an emergency. Don't switch anything electrical on or off, avoid naked flames, open windows if you can and leave the area. Once you're safely outside, call your gas provider's emergency line and a licensed gas fitter. Eagle Plumbing 24/7 are fully licensed gas fitters and available around the clock.

What are the signs of a gas leak?

Watch for a rotten-egg smell, a hissing sound near gas lines or appliances, dead patches of plants close to a gas line, or feeling unwell or light-headed indoors. If you suspect a leak, call a licensed gas fitter immediately.

Do I legally need a licensed gas fitter for gas work?

Yes. In NSW, all gas work must be carried out by a licensed gas fitter — it's the law and it's about your safety. Eagle Plumbing 24/7 is fully licensed (NSW Licence 464647C) for gas fitting.

Can you install and safety-check gas appliances?

Yes — our licensed gas fitters install, service and safety-check gas appliances and lines. Call us to book an inspection.
